On company culture, Rich told the publication, “We can’t afford to have egos at this stage in our company’s growth. We need talented leaders who are willing to do anything that serves the mission and our customers’ best interests. These people are comfortable with the unknown and a startup’s inevitable ups and downs. We also want team members who are creative in how they do their jobs and are comfortable without exact parameters or a detailed job description. The idea of working in a startup is often romanticized, but the truth is that most professionals aren’t a good fit for fast-growing, constantly-evolving companies.”
